WebbDr. Backus attended Duke University for medical school, then completed a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Washington University School of Medicine. Following residency, he completed a Foot and Ankle Fellowship at the Steadman Clinic. Prior to joining Washington University Orthopedics, Dr. Backus worked in private practice in Colorado. Dr. WebbOur orthopaedic trauma fellows actively participate in the research program of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Wake Forest School of Medicine. Leadership and Faculty Our teaching staff have deep and varied expertise in orthopedic surgery, with focuses on hand, upper extremities, total joint, trauma, podiatry and sports medicine.
